In addition to his role as a Director at OGA, Stuart Payne is the co-chair of the Supply Chain & Exports Taskforce (on which Subsea UK is a member). The taskforce is one of the MER UK bodies that seeks to support the sector and he will be gave an overview of how this group is working with industry and government to respond to the combined challenges of COVID-19 and the commodity price crash. Stuart was also able to talk to some of the specific actions that the OGA is taking in the same regard.

Stuart Payne is the Director of Decommissioning, Supply Chain & HR at the OGA. He joined the OGA when it was first created in 2015 and is responsible for leading the regulator’s work with the service sector and in regards to all decommissioning matters. Prior to joining the OGA, Stuart was Group HR & IT Director of Dana Petroleum before which he worked for Shell in a variety of HR roles. Stuart is also a member of the National Advisory Board for Barnardo’s Scotland and is a non-executive director of the Brightside Trust.
