McDermott lands Te Giac Trang Contract

PTSC Mechanical & Construction Co Ltd has picked J Ray McDermott SA to do the transportation and installation at Te Giac Trang field offshore Vietnam.

McDermott is scheduled to transport and install two wellhead platform jackets, topsides including two drill decks, a main deck, and a helideck/electrical house, infield pipelines including tie-spools and pin-piled pipeline end manifold, and a subsea isolation valve.

The work on the project, in 45 m (148 ft) of water in block 16-1, is expected to start in 3Q 2010.
