The Floating Offshore Wind Centre of Excellence (FOW CoE) in collaboration with the Supergen Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Hub is supporting a new floating wind-focused funding scheme.

The aim of the funding scheme is to support the development of relationships between the supply chain and academia, and to accelerate the commercialisation of floating offshore wind.

ORE Catapult are seeking proposals from consortiums that include both academic and supply chain partners.  For successful proposals, the FOW CoE will part-fund the industrial contribution and EPSRC (via the Supergen ORE Hub) will part-fund the academic contribution.

The funding call is being managed through Supergen ORE Hub’s Flexible Fund framework, and an open call for proposals was launched late last week.  The full details, including timelines, budget considerations and research themes can be accessed via the link: https://supergen-ore.net/flexible-funding/flexible-fund-open-call-november-2020.  Please refer to "Option 2 - EPSRC/FoW CoE scheme” for details on funding options for the supply chain.
