The latest in a series of events delivered by Westwood Global Energy, hear from Thom Payne, Director, as he looks back at 2021 in this review.


Graham Whitehead

Graham Whitehead has almost 30 years of subsea experience, gained working across the full asset life-cycle, active on front-end studies, project delivery and operational support. Over his career he has worked across the full value chain including start-up SMEs, consultancies, installation contractors and oil & gas operators; across the North Sea, West Africa and Brazil.

With a background in subsea pipelines, Graham has subsequently performed key roles in project, asset and business management; ensuring safe and reliable project delivery, successful tendering & commercial negotiation, and co-ordinating multi-discipline teams both technical, commercial and legal.

Graham holds a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from University of Dundee and an MBA from Robert Gordon University. Additionally he has been and continues to be active on many industry forums championing the sector.


Thom Payne

Thom is a Director based in Westwood Global Energy Groupís Singapore offices where he leads the firmís Research & Analysis coverage on global Offshore Energy markets spanning rigs & marine, subsea, floating production and renewables. Thom is also a highly experienced industry consultant, having provided market, commercial and strategic advice to support over $10 billion USD of M&A and debt raising activities across the global oil & gas sector over the past 15 years.

In addition to his daily responsibilities, Thom is a recognised thought-leader and keynote speaker at energy conferences around the globe as well as a frequent commentator on macro oil market trends for major media outlets such as CNBC and Channel News Asia.

Thom is a law graduate from the University of Kent where he also received an MA in political sociology and has been based in Asia since 2011.

Mark Adeosun

Since joining Westwood Global Energy Group in 2013, Mark has developed significant experience and expertise in the subsea equipment and services market and is currently Lead Analyst for the firmís Subsea research & analytics business unit.

Mark has worked directly with, as well as advised several clients within the oilfield services supply chain, as part of both analytic and commercial advisory projects. He is also the key point of call for clients using Westwoodís SubseaLogix and PlatformLogix data analytics platforms. Mark holds a BSc degree in Geology and a Masterís degree from the University of South Wales in Geographic Information Systems.
