BP and EnBW have launched a Scottish supply chain portal site for their future ScotWind projects. The type of company that they are interested in hearing from covers quite a range and will include many DeepWind member companies.
They are particularly interested in hearing from suppliers who can contribute to Scottish local content in future project(s) thereby increasing Scottish socio-economic benefit and this includes:
· companies based in Scotland
· who have significant operations in Scotland
· who plan to establish/relocate their base, or operations, in/to Scotland
· interested in transitioning their services or operations from other sectors to offshore wind
Companies planning to set up manufacturing in Scotland should take this opportunity to make BP and EnBW aware of your plans, even if they are at an early stage, so developers are in a position to support such activity.
Given the water depths in the ScotWind leasing round this is likely to include the floating wind as well as fixed wind supply chain companies.
