The Floating Offshore Wind Centre of Excellence (FOW CoE) has established a programme of work for the next two years (FY21/22/23). This builds on the work developed and delivered in the first year (public outcomes to be disseminated later this year). This represents a commitment of almost £3.5m from the programme partners to the end of FY21/22. The intention of this "Strategic Work Plan (SWP)” approach is to ensure the programme delivers real impact in a range of areas critical to commercialising FOW.
Ralph Torr, Programme Manager, ORE Catapult said: "The success of this programme relies on working with experts from across the industries. We will have a range of opportunities to support our programme in the coming months."
These include:
- environmental interaction (live tender);
- dynamic cable systems - development and qualification;
- mooring and anchoring systems - development and qualification;
- project delivery risk;
- project finance and insurance;
- international markets.
All tenders will be published and accessible using the portal below.
