Australasia Oil and Gas
More than 500 delegates are set to converge on Perth to discuss the latest commercial and technical developments impacting the fast-growing subsea industry for the 2011 Subsea Australasia Conference.
A joint initiative between Subsea Energy Australia, Subsea UK, the Society for Underwater Technology and the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition (AOG), the conference will feature a packed program of seminars led by a diverse mix of local and overseas speakers.
The Subsea Australasia Conference has fast developed into one of the largest subsea conferences in the world, attracting a record 519 delegates from across the globe in 2010. The 2011 event will again be held in conjunction with AOG.
Global Subsea Markets
The Subsea sector is truly global by any measure. Business development prospects need to be considered on a similar global basis to ensure that market development strategies are effectively targeted and aimed at real prospects far enough in advance to increase probability of success.
This session examines the extent and timing of regional markets in West Africa, Brazil, Gulf of Mexico and Europe as well as taking a close look at the Asia Pacific region and it will explore independent views from a range of industry analysts, operators, contractors and market experts.
Subsea Integrity and Environmental Management
The Subsea industry has seen immense changes in new subsea production, with increasingly sophisticated, complex and highly stressed installations being deployed. Without these advances, subsea production would in many cases simply not be viable.
However with this increasing sophistication comes a growing need to ensure integrity is maintained to prevent environmental damage and to maximize system availability. When things do go wrong, it is even more crucial that the sector is able to react quickly and effectively to control, mitigate and reduce any impact.
This conference examines vital integrity issues including design, lifecycle management strategies and monitoring technologies. The session then goes on to explore innovative contingency planning, mitigation and repair methodologies that could have a significant impact in terms of cost, elimination of risk of emissions and in reducing the cost of IRM for the future.
