The Sustainable Aquaculture Innovation Centre (SAIC) works to increase the economic impact and reduce the environmental footprint of aquaculture. This includes offering grant funding for collaborative R&D projects to align with important sector challenges.
SAIC’s Call 3 2021, launched this week will focus on an area of key priority for the aquaculture sector: innovations for continued improvement in fish biology, regeneration, and environmental practices.
Applications that cover the integration of multiple species, such as multitrophic aquaculture, are encouraged.
Collaboration Agreements must be complete within four weeks of the award of funding, and we would advise applicants to start working on these at their earliest opportunity.
Successful projects must be ready to start by 1 June 2022.
Applicants should complete the Expression of Interest form by 5pm on Wednesday 8th December 2021.
