Full Membership of the Company shall be open to companies with an operational base in the United Kingdom, which are engaged in any aspect of subsea technology or ocean related technology or underwater technology. Membership scales are based on number of employees working with the company. Employees are counted as members of staff on the payroll and contractors who have been working with the company for three months or more. Full Membership grants the full list of benefits available to members.
Overseas Membership of the company shall be open to companies with no operational base in the UK, which are engaged in any aspect of subsea technology or ocean related technology or underwater technology. Membership scales are based on number of employees working with the company. Employees are counted as members of staff on the payroll and contractors who have been working with the company for three months or more. Overseas Memberships have the same benefits as Full Memberships.
Associate Membership of the Company shall be open to any organisation or individual who is not eligible for Ordinary Membership of the Company and who makes payment of an annual subscription at the level set from time to time for this purpose by the Board. Associate Memberships have limited benefits. Associate members will have no voting rights and receive only individual discounts (i.e. for attendance at breakfasts/dinners/conferences) and no discount for exhibiting or advertising. Associate membership does not entitle you to discount for the Online Learning Modules, access to the members' area of the website, or access to SubseaIntel. There will be a 25% discount for reports purchased by Associate members.
Educational Institution Membership shall be open to any academic organisation which is not eligible for Full Membership as a Company. Educational Institution Membership has limited benefits. They will have no voting rights and receive only individual discounts (i.e. for attendance at breakfasts/dinners/conferences) and no discount for exhibiting or advertising. Educational Institution Membership does not entitle you to discount for the Online Learning Modules, access to the members' area of the website, or access to SubseaIntel. There will be a 25% discount for reports purchased by Educational Institutions' members.
Subsea Single Consultant Membership of a Company shall be open to individuals with a business entity based in the United Kingdom, who are engaged in any aspect of subsea technology or ocean related technology or underwater technology. This membership scale is based on one employee or business owner. Single Consultant Memberships have the same benefits as Full Memberships.
On request of any application for membership a sub-committee of the Board will review the application under delegated authority from the Board and shall decide on the admission or rejection of the application. The Board shall not be obliged to inform a rejected applicant of the reason for rejection. The Board's decision or judgement as to whether or not any applicant meets the membership criteria of the Company shall be final for all purposes.
