KW Group: High pressure simulation system for next generation decommissioning technology

KW Group have received a new order from a customer developing a transformative well plugging and abandonment technology.
Having previously worked with this new innovative oilfield technology provider to design a complex high pressure simulation system for their next generation decommissioning technology, KW Group were commissioned to provide a larger hyperbaric pressure testing system. This new system will replicate a full scale oil and gas wellbore environment, enabling prototype testing in various temperatures and inclinations as well as at higher pressures.
The 530 bar (7,687 psi) hyperbaric pressure testing system is complete with specific ports and penetrations to enable interfacing with the existing gas booster skid system, which KW Group previously designed.
The high pressure testing chamber will have a safe and quick-access manual chock closure system and access platform. The platform will incorporate the vessel tilting system which will allow the chamber to be tilted up to 45° from vertical in a single direction.
