C-Kore Systems Limited from Escrick, York is celebrating as they were honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for the second time in 3 years. Following their award for Innovation in 2019, they have now been recognised for their contribution to International Trade.

The formal Queen’s Award presentation was an ideal opportunity for the C-Kore team to take a moment and reflect on their achievements so far. On the day, the C-Kore team were delighted to welcome the Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, Mrs. Johanna Ropner and one of her deputies, Mr. David Kerfoot CBE DL, to their offices near York. Although scaled back, reflecting the current risk of covid, the guests were able to have a tour and demonstration of C-Kore’s equipment prior to the formal presentation of the Queen’s Award, with the sales team joining remotely from around the world.

The Deputy Lord Lieutenant, David Kerfoot, read the citation on behalf of HM Queen Elizabeth II, which proclaimed that "recognising the outstanding achievement demonstrated in the application of International Trade, C-Kore Systems have been given permission to fly the authorised (Queen’s) Award flag and to display the Award emblem for a period of 5 years”, followed by the presentation of The Queen’s Award being presented to C-Kore System’s Managing Director, Tim Overfield, by the Lord Lieutenant herself.

After the event Johanna Ropner, the Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, commented, "What was evident during my visit to C-Kore was the enthusiasm and commitment the C-Kore team have to the company, their customers around the world and each other. Everyone I spoke with was very passionate about their work and working together as a team. C-Kore is a shining example of how a dedicated team turns a company into a great success story.”

Tim Overfield, Managing Director of C-Kore Systems commented further, "We have an excellent team who work well together to deliver our innovative technology and great service to all our global customers. Our export results show that our technology is now standard industry practice for how subsea testing is conducted. We are honoured to win this second Queen’s Award for Enterprise, as this is such a tribute to all our hard work!”
