Lisa joined Maritime Audit & Technology Services (MAATS) in 2000 having worked for 20 years as a freight co-ordinator at Heathrow Airport for airlines such as Emirates, Qantas and Cathay Pacific. Joining her father John Holt, who retired in 2019, she brought her skills of planning and co-ordination into the role of Project and Procurement Lead as the company started to grow from just a handful of people.
Made a Director in the Company in 2009 and with the change of name to MAATS Tech she has grown the team in parallel to the type of projects now being awarded to create more capability and skills. This engineering experience and track history has shown to be of key benefit when bidding for work and has also led the Company to winning Company of the Year 2022 at the Subsea Expo Awards.
Having worked mainly with the oil and gas industry in the first 15 years she has seen the energy transition into renewables and has helped the company to diversify into this market providing equipment to newbuild vessels Nexans Aurora, DEME Living Stone, NKT Victoria and the current construction of the Van Oord cable layer Calypso.
Over the last 5 years Lisa has focused on the development of other areas in the business with the drive to maintain the longevity of the equipment through a service and support team, continue the engineering analysis growth through external consultancy work with other industries in aeronautical, mining and defence as well as offering training to encourage engineers in professional development. Further support clients with FEED study engineering to allow for clearer more detailed scopes to backup the major investments required for equipment.
