Internationalisation Fund
Are you looking for funding support to help your business prepare for export? The Department for International Trade has launched a new Internationalisation Fund (IF) for eligible SMEs based in England. The Internationalisation Fund provides match-funded grants between £1,000 and £9,000 to use for future business activities. This fund aims to help UK SMEs grow in new international markets - join DIT’s upcoming IF virtual event.

Maritime UK Solent Breakfast Meetings to be in person
Maritime UK Solent is building on the hugely successful virtual Breakfast Network Sessions, which flourished throughout the pandemic, by announcing a programme of monthly face-to-face Breakfast Network Briefings. These will be held in high profile maritime venues across the Solent, where attendees will be able to meet in person.
Moving to meeting in person will help embed the networking and collaboration ethos initiated in the virtual world. Everyone who is associated with the Solent's marine or maritime sector is invited to take part in this wider, ongoing conversation among the region's maritime sector.
The next Maritime UK Solent's Breakfast Network meetings are:
21 April at the CEMAST campus, Fareham College's Centre of Excellence in Engineering, Manufacturing and Advanced Skills Training
19 May at National Oceanography Centre, Southampton
16 June at Seawork, Southampton
The meetings are open to all businesses involved in any way with the maritime sector in the Solent; people wishing to attend simply need to book online in advance.
Championing the Solent’s Creative Industries - Watch again
Last month Solent ran an event for those involved in the creative industries in the Solent in partnership with the Southampton 2025 UK City of Culture bid team. The event brought many creative businesses and organisations together and had speakers from many different backgrounds and business types, sharing ideas, thoughts and different perspectives.
The event was live-streamed, and in doing so were able to record each of the sessions that took place on the day. On this link you will find the suite of films from the day, which you can view and share with anyone who was unable to attend, or who would simply like to listen again.
