Astrimar: Introduction to Technology Readiness Levels (TRL)
17 June 2022
Free online webinar introduces the basic principles of TRL (Technology Readiness Level) assessment as a measure of technology maturity, in support of Technology Qualification.
Many technology developers (suppliers) and technology users (customers) use the concept of Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) to measure technology maturity and readiness for deployment. This concept was first developed by NASA and is now used by other sectors including Defence, Renewables and Oil and Gas. Different sectors have developed their own TRL ladders. TRL complies directly with industry practice ISO 20815 (oil & gas). Many potential investors, funders or end-user require a statement of TRL to describe your technology’s maturity.
This free Online Webinar takes you through a range of TRL ladder examples. The ladders adopted in different sectors all have the same intent but there are variations in their definition. Ladders are industry, company and technology bespoke.
As well as introducing the concept of the TRL ladder and its variations, this presentation also walks you through how to assess your current TRL and your TRL Goals. It explains the development and testing focus at each stage and the evidence generated to provide assurance of TRL achievement.
