We all deal with contracts in our daily lives, but do we understand what the "boilerplate” means? What do indemnities, warranties and representations actually entail?
This session will look at the basics of contracting in the oil and gas industry and examine alternative approaches to our traditional solutions for developing decommissioning contract scope, terms and conditions, pricing and performance management. The session will also look at how we can best manage risk and discuss alternative methods for contractor selection to drive a successful outcome for all parties, rather than focus on apportionment of blame and cost of failure.
