Ian Phillips | Independent Consultant (Energy Transition)
Our inaugural speaker Ian Phillips is passionate about developing people at all professional career stages in both Learning and Business contexts.
Since his own M.Eng. in Petroleum Engineering Ian has built an excellent reputation for his engaging teaching on the RGU and Dundee University MBA programmes. Ian’s rich career path has included senior leadership roles and entrepreneurialism with Pale Blue Dot Energy.
He has significant experience in the upstream oil and gas and climate change industries, with several operating companies and a global service company. He is now a recognised authority in energy transition consultancy.

Donald Macleod | Engineering and SHEQ Director, Boskalis
A member of the senior
leadership team at Boskalis Subsea Services, Donald is a civil engineer by
trade with over 20 years’ experience working across onshore construction and
oil and gas.
For the last 10 years, Donald has held senior management roles in
an engineering consultancy, fuel distribution and retail, and latterly subsea
construction, IRM and decommissioning.

Roy
is an Enterprise Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh Unlocking Ambition
Programme and an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) aficionado with over
12+ years of experience in leadership, business development, technical sales
and entrepreneurship.
Roy is the Director of sales with TenzorGEO
working to advance and promote
its unique micro seismic technology and services to the energy industry, with
the aim of maximising economic recovery and providing a sustainable CO2monitoring technology to help deliver on net-zero targets.

Beena Sharma | CEO, CCU International
A multi award-winning, results-driven CEO with experience in various industries including oil & gas, renewables, manufacturing, construction, cleantech, and healthcare. Focussed primarily on driving innovative approaches towards net zero including technology focussed start-ups in Biotechnology and Carbon Capture and Utilisation.
Proven experience in managing high growth and innovative businesses, developing behavioural change, change management, climate change programmes and driving net zero strategy for businesses. The ability to develop, strengthen and inspire teams to maximise company profitability and efficiency. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong diplomatic skills, and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships and building consensus amongst diverse individuals.
With a training background
Beena spends much of her time educating businesses in Net Zero strategy and
climate technology adoption. She contributes regularly to conferences as a panellist
and speaker. Professional with a Bachelor of Arts degree,
a Postgraduate in Psychology and qualified Carbon management specialist.

Obo Idornigie | Welligence
Obo Idornigie joined Welligence in
2020 to lead Welligence’s upstream coverage of Nigeria and Ghana, and support business development
efforts across West Africa. Prior to joining Welligence,
he spent 12 years with Wood Mackenzie as an Africa-focused analyst and later as
a corporate analyst. Obo holds a BSc (Hons) degree in
Geology and Mining from the University of Jos, Nigeria and an MSc in Oil and
Gas Economics from the University of Dundee, Scotland.
PANEL CHAIR
A seasoned communications professional, Kirstin has nearly three decades of experience in the media, marketing and corporate communications sectors. A former STV news anchor and broadcast journalist, Kirstin has gained knowledge working across various sectors of the energy industry including oil and gas, drilling and decommissioning, and was most recently Head of Communications at Step Change in Safety, the UK’s oil and gas safety organisation.
