ONS 2010: Xodus Wins Huntington Design Job

25 August 2010

Some of the buzz in the Scottish Pavilion at ONS 2010 is coming from the Xodus Group’s £1-million ($1.54-million) contract for the detail design of Huntington in the UK Central North Sea.

The project involves flexible risers and umbilical, flexible and rigid pipelines, two subsea structures (SSIV and CATS Tee), and comprehensive flow assurance engineering. Production will go to the FPSO Sevan Voyageur which E.ON Ruhrgas recently signed a Letter of Intent to use on the project.

The Huntington development is in 90 m (295 ft) water depth and covers the Forties field reservoir and the deeper Fulmar field. Fulmar remains to be fully appraised before development starts.

“We originally did work at the concept stages so we are thrilled to have been retained for the Detailed Design of the structures and pipelines and FEED for the risers,” said Richard Heard, director. “It will involve an integrated approach with both London and Aberdeen offices involved in the project execution.”
