Nautronix Makes Major Commitment to the Brazilian Oil and Gas Market

Nautronix, as part of their continuing strategy for growth are pleased to announce the opening of a sales and support office in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. They are also pleased to announce the appointment of Leonardo Catanzaro as a Sales & Support Engineer in Brazil. Leonardo will be Nautronix' local man on the ground to support not only their existing customers, but to also work and develop the business in the local Oil and Gas market. Nautronix sees huge growth in the deepwater projects that are currently under consideration in this market sector. In 2008 Nautronix was successful in securing a two year rental contract with Petrobras Inc in the Gulf of Mexico for their game changing technology NASNet®. This was used on the Cascade Chinook field in 3,000 meters of water where Petrobras installed the first FPSO in the Gulf of Mexico.

Mark Patterson the CEO of Nautronix commented “We are hugely excited about the Brazilian market with our excellent relationship that we have had with Petrobras in the Gulf of Mexico we feel sure that we are in a strong position to secure some exciting opportunities in the Brazilian market over the next few years. Petrobras have already shown significant interest in the use of NASNet® on a number of projects and are very proactive in trying new technology which can give significant cost benefit savings.

Petrobras also have plans to build 28 drilling vessels and over 100 support vessels where Nautronix ADS˛ technology should be well placed to be useful in a number of different applications on these new build requirements.

Nautronix already have a number of ongoing projects in Brazil and a significant amount of its products are currently being used offshore Brazil.
