Marine Subsea Gets to Work

Norway-based services player Marine Subsea has landed $150 million in new contracts for its fleet of five multi-purpose barges.The newbuild African Worker is set to provide accommodation at the Girassol field, in Block 17, under a three-year contract struck with French giant Total.
Meantime, the African Lifter, also a newbuild, has started a five-year contract at Block 2 for Sonangol.
Italian services giant Saipem has exercised an option in its charter of the African Caribe which sees the vessel stay on at the FARM project in Cabinda for a further one year and eight months.
The African Fjord is under charter with Diamond International/Eni off Congo until May next year, while the African Installer continues operations with Geocean off Libya until later this autumn.
