National Subsea Research Institute And Subsea UK Join Forces

Northern Research Partnership (NRP) comprising Aberdeen, Dundee and Robert Gordon universities, in collaboration with the Industry Technology Facilitator (ITF) and Subsea UK have agreed to establish the National Subsea Research Institute (NSRI) to deliver the research and development activity of the subsea centre of excellence. NSRI provides a focus for research & development, and also for skills training and education, to enable the UK industry to achieve its strategic aims in a cost efficient, coordinated fashion.

The NSRI vision is to develop and maintain the UK's position as a centre of excellence for subsea technology and skills. To be industry led and demand driven, addressing the longer term challenges that the global subsea industry faces.
