CTC Marine Projects Receives Significant Subsea Contract from PMS

09 November 2010

CTC Marine Projects (a Member of Trico Marine Group) has been awarded a contract by Petroleum Marine Services Co (PMS), the major Egyptian marine contractor, for the subsea construction, installation and trenching work in connection with the Denise B Project.

The workscope, which will take place in the Denise B Field, Offshore Egypt, will involve a pre installation survey, followed by installation and trenching of the umbilical system. It also includes installation of the subsea structures including the High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS), the 6” spools and electro hydraulic flying leads.

The project will utilise CTC’s extensive subsea equipment including the construction vessel Volantis, the UT-1 jet trencher and the Installer ROV. The scope of work, for ultimate client Petrobel, is expected to commence in Quarter 2 of 2011.

This is the third contract awarded to CTC in Egypt, following the success previously obtained in the West Ashrafi project for AGIBA Petroleum in 2007 and the North Bardawil project for Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel) completed in 2009.

A source at CTC Marine Projects says of the contract award, “We are very pleased to be awarded this significant scope of work and are keen to develop further in Egypt.”

CTC Marine Projects Egypt is the registered branch of the UK company CTC Marine Projects Ltd.
