First Subsea General Manager Joins Subsea UK Board

The UK's leading industry body for the British subsea industry, Subsea UK, has co-opted Brian Green, general manager at First Subsea to the Subsea UK board. The appointment recognises Mr Green's contribution to the UK's subsea industry and the leading role of First Subsea in deepwater mooring worldwide.Subsea UK champions Britain’s subsea sector, which leads the way globally in terms of market size, experience and technology development. With over 200 member companies, and home to the UK's Centre of Subsea Excellence, Subsea UK acts for the whole supply chain, bringing together operators, contracts and suppliers from the sector which currently employs 40,000 people in the UK with revenues of around £5 billion a year.
“We are delighted that Brian Green has joined the Subsea UK board. He has many years experience of the offshore industry both in the UK and internationally. Under his leadership First Subsea has developed into a leading technology innovator in the subsea sector,” said Bill Edgar, chairman, Subsea UK.
Brian Green will represent the views of Subsea UK's North West of England membership on business and safety issues.
