Sonsub joined thousands of people up and down the UK by wearing pink on Friday 31st October to mark the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
'Wear it Pink' is the UK's original and biggest pink day, raising over £9.7 million to date, with the aim this year to raise £3.5 million in just one day! All donations are used to fund innovative, world-class research throughout the UK to understand how breast cancer develops, leading to improved diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure.
Staff in Aberdeen were asked to be as daring as possible with their pink outfits, along with donating £2 to the campaign. Receptionist Angela Goldie (Tern Place) and Project Administration Supervisor Michelle Thomson (Denmore Place) took the prizes for being ‘most pink' in their respective buildings, helping raise a grand total of £773.
Fiona Eddie (Organisation, Training & Competency Officer) who co-ordinated all fundraising efforts commented: "Many thanks to everyone who made Friday 31st October (usually such a grim, dark day!) into a fabulous and bright pink day in the office for such a worthwhile cause, with special thanks to the home bakers, soap makers and champagne raffle organisers who worked hard to raise additional funds."
