A&P Group Joins Subsea UK

24 January 2011

A&P Group has announced its membership of Subsea UK in a move to show its commitment to the subsea sector. The company will also be exhibiting at Subsea UK 2011 in Aberdeen on 9 and 10 February on stand B15/16.

A&P Group, which is one of the UK’s leading ship repair and conversion businesses in the UK, with two shipyards in the North East of England on the Tyne and Tees and a third shipyard in Falmouth Cornwall, has successfully made the transition from shipyard to marine engineering company.

The company is currently working on projects to build and assemble a subsea arch for the Athena development in the UK North Sea sector. This follows on from the company’s win of a tender to build two midwater arches for the USAN oilfield off the coast of Africa, managed by Total.

Neil Jarvis, Sales and Commercial Director at A&P said:

We are delighted to announce our membership of Subsea UK, an organisation we have wanted to become more actively involved with for some time. We hope our membership will help us to continue to grow within this sector as we have the opportunity to show its members our strengths, abilities and our commitment.”

“We are very much looking forward to Subsea UK 2011, to the conference and exhibition. We have worked with O&G companies for many years on vessel repairs and conversions and a natural progression for this business was to work with these companies on manufacturing offshore structures. As a business we have invested in providing the capabilities, facilities and expertise to carry out these projects. We are delighted to be exhibiting in our own right at Subsea UK this year and are looking forward to making new contacts and networking during the event. “

A&P Group are one of the sponsors of the Subsea UK 2011 Daytona Draw taking place at the exhibition where a lucky winner will take home a Daytona motorbike.
