Subsea 7 Wins Brazil Work

UK-based oilfield services contactor Subsea 7 has secured two contracts with Petrobras for activities off Brazil.One of the deals is a $40 million contract extension for the Acergy Harrier vessel to carry out saturation diving services to water depths of 300 metres for new construction tasks and inspection, maintenance and repair work, together with remote operated vehicle services to 2500 metres.
In addition, Subsea 7 has been awarded a a lump-sum contract for the installation of two manifolds on the Tambau field together with the installation of a pipeline end manifold on the Jubarte field in water depths of about 1200 metres.
Engineering will start immediately, with offshore installation due to take place in early 2011 using the Skandi Acergy vessel.
