Subsea 7 Lands Ensign EPIC Work

Engineering company Subsea 7 has been awarded an engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning contract from Centrica Energy for the flowlines and sub-sea works on the Ensign project in the UK sector of the North Sea.As part of the $60 million contract Subsea 7 will engineer, procure, install, tie-in and pre-commission 24 kilometres of pipelines, connecting the Ensign satellite platform with the existing subsea pipelines at the Audrey ‘A’ platform over Blocks 48/14 and 48/15.
It will also engineer, procure, install, tie-in and pre-commission another two kilometres of pipeline and associated control umbilical to connect the Ensign platform to a new well.
Subsea 7 said engineering, project management and procurement work for the project had already commenced at its Aberdeen office and fabrication of the rigid pipelines would be performed at its North Sea spoolbase in Norway.
Installation is scheduled to take place during the third quarter of the year.
