Subsea UK Compiles Database of Subsea Projects and Contracts
11 March 2011
Subsea UK has been collecting information on past, present and future subsea oil & gas projects around the world to put together a vast matrix of data for member companies.
The projects database, which now contains information on over 550 global subsea projects, has data on location, operator, water depth and wherever possible the number of subsea wells, manifolds, pipelines and umbilicals. Where applicable we have also supplied information on the status of these projects, as well as descriptions of any future work.
In addition to this, we've also put together a spreadsheet of around 200 oil & gas discoveries around the world that may be developed using subsea technology in the future. Two further sheets provide summary tables of only those subsea projects that are currently underway or that are expected to have upcoming subsea work, listed by region of the world and by operator.
The contracts database is a list of recent subsea contracts that have been awarded, including descriptions of the type of work (e.g., design, installation, manufacturing, etc.), region of the world, and contract value whenever possible. This database is in the early stages of development so only contains data from the last four months, but we'll be populating it with data from recent years very soon.
This information is freely and exclusively available to Subsea UK members but is strictly not for public dissemination. You can access these databases by logging in to our Reports section, under the Information tab.
