02 May 2011

EPC Offshore announced today that John Forrest has been appointed to the company's board as a non-executive director.

With more than 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry, Mr Forrest is a well known and widely respected figure in the global oil and gas community. He recently retired from Talisman Energy (UK) Ltd, where he held the position of senior vice president and UK country manager.

A chemical engineering graduate of Heriot Watt University, during his career Mr Forrest has held a series of senior positions in the UK, Netherlands and Norway. He has also been involved in a number of industry groups, including the UK's flagship safety initiative Step Change in Safety, of which he is the current co-chairman.

Commenting on his appointment he said: "EPC Offshore is at a very exciting stage in its development and is operating in a growth sector of the industry. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be involved in its continued expansion both in the UK and internationally.”

"I look forward to using my experience to help shape the company at a strategic level over the next few years.”

John Forrest was with Talisman Energy for more than a decade and senior vice president since 2009. Responsible for delivery of the UK business, he was also a board director of Talisman Energy (UK) Limited.

CEO Keith Wallace said: "I am very pleased to welcome John to the EPC board. His high-level knowledge of the industry will be an invaluable resource for the company as we look to progress to the next level in our development.

"As a non-executive director he will have the opportunity to apply his talents and wide experience as we move forward and I am confident he will make a significant contribution to our ambitious plans for growth.”
