25 May 2011
Subsea trenching and construction contractor Modus is aiming to continue its growth with a forecast 35% rise in turnover in the coming year after moving into new offices.
The Darlington-based company currently has 26 staff, and plans to create further employment to support its expanding activities in the offshore windfarm, oil and gas and telecommunications sectors.
Modus is on track to achieve revenues of £10m this year and has moved into Beaumont House from its previous base on Carmel Road.
It also recently took a 10-year lease on storage and maintenance facilities on the River Tees in Middlesbrough. Managing director Jake Tompkins said: "The first three years of business have seen steady growth, which we aim to extend in 20011/12 from our new headquarters in Beaumont House. The new office will allow us to expand, based upon a culture of innovation and high quality service to our clients in the subsea industry.”
