Ellon-based Safety and Skills Consultant Latest Addition to Group

Global Energy Group announced its second acquisition in a month yesterday after it bought a majority stake in Training Competency Consultancy (TCC).

Aberdeen and Inverness-based Global has added the safety and skills consultant to the group just weeks after taking a majority shareholding in offshore service firm Kaymas Electrical Engineering.

Ellon-based TCC, which offers safety training courses to the petrochemical, power-generation and oil and gas sectors, employs about 70 people but now plans to increase its workforce by 25%.

The value of the deal was not disclosed.
