Subsea UK Launches Offshore Renewables Database

01 August 2011

Today Subsea UK is pleased to announce its latest research database, Offshore Renewables.

This index of over 100 current Offshore Renewables projects (wind, wave and tidal) complements Subsea UK's growing library of raw subsea data and includes location, power generated, water depth and date of activation.

We have also been listening to members' feedback on the databases, and have included a guide in each file that explains how to search for specific fields of information and filter your results.

The databases will continue to be updated on a monthly basis. The newest versions are all available for download to Subsea UK members by logging into the Reports section of the website, under the Information tab.

Non-members can view samples of some of the databases below.

Other Ongoing Databases

The FPSO & FPU Database contains information on 175+ Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessels and around 100 Floating Production Units, including semi submersibles, spars and tension leg platforms. This database holds information on both FPSOs & FPUs in development and currently deployed on fields. Data includes location, mooring systems and riser layout for each vessel.

The Subsea Vessel Database is a list of 250+ vessels outfitted for use in the subsea industry. This database includes information on the vessel owner and/or operator, vessel type, most recent geographic location, and commitments to current and future offshore contracts.

The Projects Database now boasts over 1,000 global subsea projects, with information on location, operator, water depth, number of subsea wells, manifolds, pipelines and umbilicals. The Contracts Database has information on over 400 subsea contracts dating back to 2009.
