Vietnam 2011 Licensing Round Announced

Vietnam Oil & Gas Group (Petrovietnam) have announced the 2011 Licensing Round, which covers nine blocks in Nam Con Son, Phu Quoc and Malay-THo Chu Basins, offshore Vietnam.

The Round opens 1st August 2011 and closes 5th January 2012. The registration and data review will be organised from 10th August 2011 to 7th October 2011 in Hanoi.

The database includes approximately 49,000km seismic 2D, 1,700 km2 seismic 3D required, processed and 33 wells drilled, showing analogy to recent oil and gas discoveries in the country and the region.

The recently improved legal framework and investment conditions make the contract and fiscal terms more attractive.
