Triton's Global Sales and Service Network Grows with Launch of Scottish Operation

Subsea technology and services firm Triton Group announced at Subsea 09 in Aberdeen today (Wednesday, February 11), that it continues the development of a global network of support facilities with the launch of a new Sales and Service Centre in the UK.

The Aberdeen-headquartered group, which recently completed its ninth acquisition in deals totaling more than £100million since its formation in 2007, has invested £3.5million in its global support infrastructure in the last two years.

The move is the next step in Triton's global footprint, linking the new base up with existing centres in Houston and Singapore.

The newly refurbished facility at Blackburn on the outskirts of Aberdeen, will provide an operational site for sales and service personnel from Group companies including Sub-Atlantic, Perry Slingsby Systems, UKPS and Subco supporting the Europe, Africa and Middle-East regions.

It combines office accommodation for 22 staff, a 570m2 fully fitted workshop and test facility designed to meet the service and after-sales requirements of both work class and inspection ROVs, in addition to the tooling and customised subsea products that make up the Triton portfolio.

Triton Group chief operating office Dave Sturrock said: “With increasing demand internationally for state-of-the-art technology and services to the rapidly expanding subsea oil and gas sector, the opening of the Aberdeen office gives us a network of sales and service centres that will ensure we continue to be competitively placed to meet the requirements of clients across the globe.”

With a breadth and depth of capability Triton Group comprises of eleven companies specialising in the design, development, manufacture, sale and rent of remotely operated technologies and their systems' components, the group also offers engineering support, training and the supply of qualified technical personnel.

“We now have a very well balanced business model with a global spread of complementary companies and infrastructure,” added Sturrock. “It is this critical mass that allows us to not only expand our customer range and global market coverage, but also to develop initiatives that meet real industry needs.”

The companies in the group are Perry Slingsby Systems, Sub-Atlantic, UK Project Support Ltd (UKPS), Subco, Cynergetix Pty Ltd, Dynamic Positioning Services Ltd (DPS), Geoscience Earth and Marine Services Inc (GEMS), VisualSoft, VMAX, Seafloor Geoservices Inc (SGI) and ETS.
