iXBlue FoG at the Heart of New CDL TOGS 2

iXBlue are pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with CDL Ltd, the Aberdeen based subsea engineering specialist for the supply of FoG based IMUs.The IMU 50 units will be integrated in CDL’s second generation TOGS subsea gyrocompass.

Colin Crichton, Chief Executive Officer of CDL said "After extensive testing, we selected iXBlue FoG IMU 50 on the basis of its accuracy, reliability, power consumption and size."
This CDL requirement was for an extremely compact unit but with no compromise on data quality, though it was not the sole factor behind the deal. Commenting on the deal Olivier Cervantes, iXBlue VP Sales & Marketing said "We were able to demonstrate our ability to manufacture reliable IMUs in large quantities in line with CDL’s launch plan for the TOGS 2. We believe iXBlue and CDL can answer the market requirement and make FoG technology fully available for subsea navigation which can be supported worldwide.
