Subsea UK at Cranfield University

Subsea UK continues its tour of universities encouraging students to get involved with the subsea sector. Its latest initiative saw member companies visit Cranfield University to introduce 30 students to the opportunities available in the industry.

Presentations were given by Astrimar, BPP-TECH, Fugro GRL, SAAB Seaeye and Subsea 7. The evening concluded with a "pizza and salad" networking dinner to allow students the chance to speak with presenters in a more informal setting. Most students were looking for internships, if not employment, and our presenters were happy to give them all the advice they needed to take the appropriate action.

"This was an excellent event," said Geoff Lyons, board member of Subsea UK. "And it will be an even better event next year, as other Cranfield University MScs will be in attendance as well."
