Roxar Subsea Instruments to Assist North Sea Brynhild Flow Management
23 May 2012Aker Solutions has contracted Emerson Process Management to supply Roxar subsea instrumentation to Lundin Petroleum’s Brynhild field development in the North Sea.
The scope covers subsea multi-phase meters, Sencorr pressure and temperature sensors, subsea chemical injection valves, and sand monitors. Aker Solutions will incorporate the package into Brynhild’s subsea production system. Emerson also will deliver various downhole pressure and temperature gauges directly to Lundin.
Svenn Haugen, world area director Europe & North Africa, Roxar Flow Measurement, said: "Our instrumentation is to be deployed on a tieback where key input measurements for fiscal allocation and production measurement will be carried out subsea…”
Production from Brynhild in the Norwegian sector will be tied back across the UK North Sea median line to Shell’s Pierce field FPSO. Combining Brynhild and Pierce’s tieback flow will avoid the need for a dedicated riser for Brynhild. The Roxar equipment will help ensure accurate measurement and input to fiscal allocation from the different flow streams.
