Working Together to Meet Industry Skills Demands
30 May 2012
The oil and gas industry’s careers information portal, www.myoilandgascareer.com aims to provide up-to-date, relevant information on careers and routes into the oil and gas sector with the goal of supporting the drive to meet the sector’s skills demands.
The site already has reach in over 4,000 schools and further education institutions across the UK; however, in response to industry’s requirement for experienced talent, we are placing more emphasis on developing the workforce area of the site.
In order to do this effectively we need industry input and would be grateful if you could circulate this email around your members on our behalf so we can generate help with the following:
• The provision of corporate logos and reciprocal links from company career pages to www.myoilandgascareer.com‘find a job’ page.
• Feedback on what industry would like to see on the website- it is there to service the needs of the industry, we need to ensure it is meeting requirements.
The site currently receives enquiries from skilled workers from other industries who are keen to transfer to oil and gas. We hope that linking them directly to company career information pages will enable industry to communicate key employment messaging to a larger number of experienced prospective personnel.
Participants should email Katie.Ward@opito.com with the requested information by June 4th.
