Matrix Wins Industry Awards for Innovation and Exporting

Matrix Composites & Engineering (Matrix) recently won two major awards including the international JEC Composites Asia 2012 Innovation Award and the 2012 Subsea Energy Australia Business Award. The awards reflect the company’s use of advanced materials and technologies in its product range destined for the oil and gas, and resources industries, as well as the success of the company in the global marketplace.
For the international JEC Composites Asia 2012 Innovation Award which will be presented on the 26 June 2012 in Singapore, Matrix was successful in the category of ‘Building and Infrastructure’. The award focused on the company’s new range of composite centralisers which are used in offshore and onshore drilling, and completions for the construction of horizontal, long reach, deviated and extended reach drilling wells. The composite centralisers are renowned for being light weight, highly durable and exhibiting ultra low friction factors. JEC is the largest composites industry organization in the world with a network of 250,000 professionals. The award is a significant win for Matrix as it is showcases the advanced materials and technical superiority in relation to the company’s composite drilling and completions centralisers.
Matrix was also successful in the 2012 Subsea Energy Australia Business Awards taking out the Global Export category for the second year running. The award recognised the company as a significant exporter of products or services to the international subsea market. With a global distribution and service network spanning five continents and an established position as the global leader in the manufacture and supply of subsea buoyancy systems, Matrix was a well deserving recipient of the award.
