Commercial Director Appointed as Maritime Developments Targets Further Growth

Maritime Developments, the back-deck equipment specialist for the energy industry, has underpinned its growth strategy with the appointment of Mike Gaskin as Commercial Director.
Mr Gaskin previously held a senior management role with international energy engineering and services business and has more than 19 years’ experience in the oil, gas and renewable industries.
He brings a wealth of expertise to Maritime Developments as the Peterhead-based business looks to continue its growth after securing North Sea contracts worth more than £2m in the past three months.

Developments delivers bespoke engineering solutions for back-deck equipment. It
designs, manufactures, delivers and supports a range of solutions including
pipelay tensioners, reel drive systems, overboard chutes, control systems,
spoolers, level winders and compensators. Its CE-marked solutions can also be
suitable for onshore spool bases or the supply bases of product (subsea
umbilicals, risers and flowlines) and cable manufacturers.
The company’s latest contracts include the design, manufacture and delivery of product handling winches, power packs and control systems to UK and international clients.
Maritime Developments now employs 19 people at its design and manufacturing base in Wilson Street, Peterhead.
