Growth in the Pipeline for MCS

MCS today announced that it has added to its advanced subsea engineering capabilities with the strengthening of its software and technical offering to operators and pipeline contractors.
The international subsea engineering company revealed at the 9th annual Subsea Tieback Forum and Exhibition (SSTB) in San Antonio, Houston,it is building on its existing riser engineering and subsea integrity management services with improved software capabilities, heightened collaboration with sister companies and a new senior appointment to lead further expansion in the key US market.

With 13 years of experience in deep and shallow water marine pipeline design, he has extensive project experience from conceptual through to detailed design. His team provides strong capabilities in advanced pipeline design and analysis, including front end and execution phase technology for subsea tie-backs. As part of its wider services offering, MCS has enhanced Flexcom, the industry-leading riser design software, to provide greater capability for bottom roughness analysis, lateral and upheaval buckling analysis, and jumper design. Further offerings include its Pipelay software, used by many major pipeline installers worldwide to provide increased capability for pipeline installation analysis and planning. MCS now offers its engineering and integrity management services as part of a wider team of companies in the Wood Group. The company will continue to expand its advanced subsea engineering capability as part of the newly formed Subsea and Pipeline Technology group, which includes J P Kenny, MSi and Ionik. “MCS will also collaborate closely with our Wood Group sister companies to offer clients a more comprehensive and integrated range of services across oil and gas projects,” adds Kavanagh.
