Subsea Seminar to Reveal World-class Training Available in Aberdeen

Subsea companies will find out all about state-of-the-art oil and gas academy facilities and world-class training opportunities at a "Lunch and Learn” seminar in Aberdeen next week (15 August).
More than 20 companies will take part in the session organised by industry body Subsea UK, at Aberdeen College’s ASET facility in Altens.
Aberdeen College principal, Rob Wallen will be joined by David Brooks, sector manager, engineering and construction of Aberdeen College and Atholl Menzies, chief executive and executive director of ASET at the seminar.
They will outline the vast range of cutting-edge teaching facilities and technology available at ASET, as well as give an overview of the new developments in training for the oil and gas industry, particularly how the subsea sector can benefit froma number of the availablecourses.
Neil Gordon chief executive of Subsea UK, who will be welcoming delegates to the session, said: "Learning sessions like these offer delegates the chance to find out about the region’s world-class capabilities in design, research, training and technology development.

ASET (Aberdeen Skills and Enterprise Training Ltd), a subsidiary of Aberdeen College, has invested over £10 million in the latest technology and teaching facilities to ensure it offers the best training for the oil and gas and marine industries.
The seminar, which is part of Subsea UK’s on-going programme of interactive events available for the subsea community, will be held on 15 August at Aberdeen College’s Altens Centre, Hareness Road.
