Wilton Group Appoints New HR Director

International engineering specialist the Wilton Group has strengthened its executive team by appointing Julie Wright to the role of Human Resources Director.

Julie joins the Teesside-based group with a remit to sustain and enhance its HR practices and add fresh impetus to its personnel recruitment and retention strategy.

She joins the group – which comprises Wilton Engineering, Aberdeen-based PD&MS Energy and Universal Coatings – with extensive experience of both the private and public sector. Most recently she spent several years in a key HR role with Jacobs Engineering.

Julie, who has an honours degree in business and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, has also fulfilled roles in the banking sector and further education.

The group, which has a total workforce of 800, last year secured a top ten place in the Sunday Times HSBC International Track 100 league table, which ranks businesses on their overseas sales performance. The group was listed ninth after it achieved overseas sales growth of 187% over two years.

The Wilton Group delivers engineering design and manufacturing solutions to the energy sector.

Wilton Group has three main business units – Wilton Engineering Services, PD&MS Energy, and Universal Coatings – providing integrated engineering capability onshore and offshore.

Wilton Engineering, which has a 50-acre site, and Universal Coatings are both in Middlesbrough. PD&MS Energy is based in Aberdeen, Dundee, Middlesbrough and Great Yarmouth and Brazil.
