Hydratight Receives International Recognition for Safety and Quality
08 November 2012
Hydratight KSA in Dammam and Jubail have achieved the internationally-recognised OHSAS 18001 (for health and safety management) and ISO 9001 (for quality management) – the first of the global joint integrity specialist’s Middle East facilities to do so.
The certification comes after a rigorous independent audit covering all aspects of the company’s procedures, including safety organisation, management control, measurement procedures and workplace implementation.
Hydratight, which has 30 locations across the world, operates ultra-stringent safety policies both for office and field workers, with daily safety briefings. A senior management committee investigates every incident, large or small.
The certification report commends the "commitment and enthusiasm of the local team” and "strong corporate support” as being key elements in achieving the award.
Hydratight Middle East’s managing director PCA Mohan, said: "I am delighted. Achieving this was a real team effort and we are looking forward to extending it to our other facilities very soon.
"This certification will consolidate our already leading position in the region.”
