23 November 2012
Reef Subsea Power and Umbilical has provided seabed preparation assistance for Centrica’s Kew gas field development in the UK southern North Sea.The company excavated the seabed at a depth of 40 m (131 ft) near the Chiswick platform to allow the accommodation rig Seafox 7 to place the spud cans safely on the seafloor.
Reef Subsea Dredging & Excavation assisted the operation, using its high-power T8000 excavation tool.
Prior to excavation, Reef Subsea performed a detailed survey of the affected area. The program was completed within seven days.
