VisualSoft Launches US and Asian Operations

Subsea technology and services company Triton Group is expanding the reach of its world-leading digital video business with the creation of new operations in the key US and Asian markets.

The launch is expected to generate significant growth for VisualSoft Ltd, the digital inspections systems company which was acquired by Triton Group in 2008.

VisualSoft currently employs 12 people around the globe and recorded a £3 million turnover last year. With more than 450 systems in the field worldwide, the company both sells and rents their systems which offer a complete solution for underwater digital video capture, playback and reporting of pipeline and structural inspection survey data.

The Triton Group Houston and Singaporesupport centres, where the new services will be based, offer a range of specialised subsea intervention tooling systems and equipment for sale or rental from across the spectrum of the Group companies, plus technical support and recruitment services for oil and gas customers.

The Aberdeen-headquartered group, which recently completed its ninth acquisition in deals totaling more than £100million since its formation in 2007, has invested £3.5million in its global support infrastructure in the last two years.

Triton Group chief operating officer Dave Sturrock said: “The increasing global demand for state-of-the-art technology and services in the subsea oil and gas sector provides an excellent platform for innovative and dynamic companies like VisualSoft to grow.

“These new bases will provide customers with a local point of contact for sales and service, and stocks of equipment for immediate delivery are already on-the-shelf in both locations.”

With a breadth and depth of capability Triton Group comprises of eleven companies specialising in the design, development, manufacture, sale and rent of remotely operated technologies and their systems' components, the group also offers engineering support, training and the supply of qualified technical personnel.
