ITF Scoops Award for Excellence

25 May 2009

The Industry's Technology Facilitator (ITF) has been presented with an award after it was ranked the best Scottish company for people development.

ITF picked up the award at the annual Scottish Awards for Business Excellence. Presented by Quality Scotland, in association with Investors in People (IIP), the awards ceremony was held at Edinburgh International Conference Centre this week.

A-not-for-profit organization, ITF champions technology development and innovation for the upstream oil and gas industry. Employing ten people at its headquarters in Aberdeen, ITF scored the highest marks in Scotland for its commitment to people development after a review conducted by Investors in People.

Neil Poxon, managing director of ITF said:

“Quality Scotland represents a bench mark for business excellence in Scotland so we are obviously delighted to have won this award.

“IIP is a member company of Quality Scotland and each year they are asked to nominate a company for this special category award and it turns out we have performed the best in Scotland.

“As champions of technology development, we work consistently to ensure technology remains a key priority in oil and gas development but technology means nothing without people. The people in ITF are key to our success and this award underlines this.”

Quality Scotland works with private, public and voluntary organisations to support and promote business excellence across Scotland by externally assessing companies and comparing results to European benchmarks.

The Scottish Awards for Business Excellence – run by Quality Scotland - are one of the most rigorous and prestigious business awards in Scotland and reward companies and organizations that have achieved outstanding business excellence.
