In keeping with the company's strategy to extend operations to key oil and gas regions, Aberdeen-based CSL - a subsidiary of DOF Subsea - announced the creation of its US operation in Houston, Texas.
Bill Washington has been appointed as General Manager of CSL in Houston. He brings with him over 25 years experience in the oil and gas industry, working with Bechtel Offshore and J. Ray McDermott in Houston, before co-founding Antares Offshore.
Most recently Bill was Director of Strategy and Business Development at Pegasus International and prior to this, Director of Deepwater Subsea and Floating Systems at Fluor Corporation where he was responsible for the company's entry into the subsea and offshore markets.
Mark Gillespie, CSL Managing Director said: “We're delighted have someone of Bill's calibre and experience on board. His engineering background and contacts in the local market will be extremely valuable as we expand the company in the Northern Hemisphere.”
As a leading centre for the oil and gas industry, there is significant potential for CSL to develop its business in Houston. Known for supporting operators' subsea development projects and operations requirements, CSL has an experienced technical team of over 180 subsea professionals with a strong portfolio of skills that are immediately transferable to U.S. based subsea operations.
The new office, located on West Sam Houston Parkway North, offers CSL's full range of subsea engineering, operations and project support services – as well as its resourcing capability and subsea training courses.
