Asset integrity specialist, Optical Metrology Services (OMS), will discuss the latest advances in pipeline analysis technology at this year’s Subsea Expo. Taking place at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) between 1-3 February, the leading subsea event will play host to more than 5,000 delegates from across the globe.
Richard Brown, engineering manager at OMS, will present one of the exhibition’s expert conference sessions. Taking place at 3pm on Wednesday 1 February, the presentation will focus on emerging technologies for the rapid inspection and qualification of critical weld features in the pipe firing line using state-of-the-art weld inspection techniques.
Brown will examine the importance of gaining detailed insight into internal weld features – such as root penetration and undercut – at a time when the industry is being forced to maintain integrity whilst seeking cost efficiencies. Delegates will also benefit from his experience and real-world examples from more than six years at OMS.
Commenting on the exhibition, Denise Smiles, CEO at OMS, said: "As one of the world’s most renowned oil and gas events, Subsea Expo is a key date in the calendar for professionals across the globe.
"We’re looking forward to sharing insight and experience with delegates about the market’s latest trends and developments. Visitors to the session are welcome to meet with Richard and discuss inspection technology further.”
