C-Kore Systems recently delivered two further C-Kore units to Statoil. The C-Kore Subsea Testing Tools proved the insulation resistance and continuity of spare electrical cables located on the seabed that had no connection to topside equipment. The C-Kore Subsea Testing Tools are used on both fault-finding and construction campaigns to confirm the health or find faults in all types of electrical assets, including umbilicals, EFLs, SCMs and distribution units.
Tim Overfield, managing director of C-Kore commented, "With our C-Kore Subsea Testing Tools, we offer our customers a new option when it comes to testing their equipment subsea. They no longer have to work with down-lines which are cumbersome to deploy and often give inaccurate readings. We always hear from customers how pleased they are with our C-Kore units because they are so easy to use, saving them a lot of money in the end.”
The units supply quick and accurate readings on the insulation resistance and continuity of the electrical lines. C-Kore’s customers save a significant amount of money by greatly reducing their testing times, and thus vessel days needed for operations.
C-Kore Systems will be exhibiting at the Subsea Tieback Exhibition 21st – 23rd March in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Come and visit us.
