DOT 2009: Subsea UK Promoting UK Skills at DOT

Seven UK companies are showcasing their technologies and expertise at Subsea UK's stand at the Deep Offshore Technology International conference this week. The delegation comprises BPP-TECH, Exsto UK, First Subsea, flexlife, Optical Metrology Services, Rotech Subsea, and UTEC Survey.

“DOT is an excellent opportunity for UK companies to promote their technology to an international audience,” said Alistair Birnie, chief executive of Subsea UK. “Whilst the North Sea will continue to offer significant opportunities, so does the expansion into increasingly deeper and more challenging fields in other provinces around the world. Fluctuating oil prices and the banking crisis have slowed the speed of growth in recent months and make it even more imperative for UK companies to grasp new international opportunities."
